Here's what you can do:
Create a secure chat room. Invite co-workers, colleagues, friends... by sending a simple link by email or Twitter.
TinyChat can be embedded in blogs, websites, social networking sites. It works on Windows, Mac and Linux; with Firefox, IE, Safari, and Chrome -- even on your iPhone. A dozen people can chat using HQ video, audio, text -- password protected events with an assigned moderator.
As a media specialist, I could invite up to 11 classroom teachers (by grade level or subjects...) to discuss upcoming research needs or show language arts teachers how to use our new library automation system. (We're getting Surpass Centriva this August!) I could moderate staff development for teachers using Web 2.0 tools -- like this one! Teams of teachers could use TinyChat to discuss topics for professional book studies.
For the classroom? Teachers could have students work in pairs to video chat about lessons or question/answer sessions on assignments. Students could chat together in small groups with the teacher as moderator. The chat would be recorded and embedded to the classroom website for parents to view.
No stress...
